Data guides
Telegram: see how much data you have, then export it.
Pick a system to see two things: how to check how much data is in it, and how to export a copy. No form, no sign-in.

How to see how much data is in Telegram
- Know that Settings → Data and Storage → Storage Usage only shows what is cached on this device, not what is in the cloud
- Install Telegram Desktop and go to Settings → Advanced → Export Telegram data
- Choose the chats and media types, then run the export
- Right-click the export folder → Get Info / Properties and note its size
Telegram keeps chats in its cloud with no account-wide size figure, so the only real measure is the size of a full export; record that and the number of chats you exported.
Telegram’s official instructions
How to get a copy of your Telegram data
- Open the Telegram Desktop app
- Go to Settings → Export Telegram data
- Choose which chats and media to include
- Choose JSON or HTML and start the export
On the Telegram Desktop app, go to Settings → Export Telegram data to export some or all chats. For one chat, open it and choose … → Export chat history. You can save as JSON or browser-readable HTML.
Exports run per user from the desktop app, so each person who holds business chats has to export their own.
These instructions are written by DataFrenzy from each vendor’s public help pages. Menu names can vary by plan and change over time; the official link on each guide is the final word. Screenshots come from each vendor’s own help pages and videos or, where noted, from third-party tutorials credited under the image; dashed outlines are illustrations, not screenshots. Looking up a size or preparing an export never sends anything to DataFrenzy.
