How to see how much data is in NetSuite

  1. Sign in to NetSuite as a user with the Billing Information permission
  2. Go to Setup → Company → View Billing Information
  3. In the File Cabinet Size (GB) row, read the Current Used Quantity column

Record Current Used Quantity in GB; this covers File Cabinet storage, which counts against the account's 10 GB default unless more was purchased.

How to get a copy of your NetSuite data

  1. Sign in to NetSuite with the Administrator role
  2. Go to Setup → Import/Export → Export Tasks → Full CSV Export
  3. Click Submit and wait for the progress bar to finish
  4. Save the file as a .ZIP when the File Download window appears
  5. For records not included (e.g. transactions), use Export - CSV on saved search or list pages

Saved searches and reports can be exported; a full data export is available through SuiteAnalytics or the ODBC connector.

File Cabinet documents are exported separately from transaction data.

NetSuite’s official export instructions

These instructions are written by DataFrenzy from each vendor’s public help pages. Menu names can vary by plan and change over time; the official link on each guide is the final word. Screenshots come from each vendor’s own help pages and videos or, where noted, from third-party tutorials credited under the image; dashed outlines are illustrations, not screenshots. Looking up a size or preparing an export never sends anything to DataFrenzy.
