How to see how much data is in Linear

  1. Sign in to Linear
  2. Open each team's issues view and set the display/filter to show all issues, including completed
  3. Note the issue counts shown for each group or view
  4. Repeat for each team and add the totals together

There is no storage page; count issues instead (the Free plan caps a workspace at 250 issues, which is a useful upper bound); attachments are not measured separately.

How to get a copy of your Linear data

  1. Sign in as a workspace admin
  2. Open Settings → Administration → Import Export
  3. Click Export data at the bottom (toggle private teams if needed)
  4. Download the CSV from the email within 12 hours

Workspace admins (owners on Enterprise) can go to Settings → Administration → Import Export and click Export data. Linear emails a link to a CSV of issues.

CSV exports don't include attachment files, only links in descriptions. The emailed link expires after 12 hours.

Linear’s official export instructions

These instructions are written by DataFrenzy from each vendor’s public help pages. Menu names can vary by plan and change over time; the official link on each guide is the final word. Screenshots come from each vendor’s own help pages and videos or, where noted, from third-party tutorials credited under the image; dashed outlines are illustrations, not screenshots. Looking up a size or preparing an export never sends anything to DataFrenzy.
