How to see how much data is in Buildertrend
- Sign in to Buildertrend as an admin
- Count your open and closed jobs on the jobs list
- Open a typical job's Files (Documents, Photos, Videos) and note how many files it has
- Multiply by the number of jobs for a rough total
Buildertrend has unlimited storage and no usage meter, so record the job count and a rough count of photos and documents per job.
How to get a copy of your Buildertrend data
- Sign in to Buildertrend
- Open the job and the tool you need (for example, a budget or schedule grid)
- Click Export in the top right of the grid
- Save the Excel file
- Repeat for each tool
Click Export in the top right of any grid that supports it to download an Excel file. Each area of a job, such as budgets or schedules, is exported separately.
Not every grid supports export, so check each tool you rely on.
