How to see how much data is in Braze

  1. Sign in to the Braze dashboard as an admin
  2. Go to Settings → Billing
  3. Open Subscriptions and Usage for monthly active users
  4. Open Total Data Points Usage for data points consumed

Record monthly active users and data points; figures refresh once a day, and there is no storage figure.

How to get a copy of your Braze data

  1. Sign in with the Export user data permission
  2. Open Segments and create or open a segment (no filters to get everyone)
  3. Open the User Data dropdown
  4. Choose to export user data as CSV
  5. Download from the emailed link or your S3 bucket

Users with the Export user data permission open a segment and use the User Data dropdown to export its user data as CSV. Braze emails you a link, or saves the file to S3 if that's connected. To get everyone, export a segment with no filters.

Exports of more than about 500,000 users can fail, so you may need to split large audiences into several segments.

Braze’s official export instructions

These instructions are written by DataFrenzy from each vendor’s public help pages. Menu names can vary by plan and change over time; the official link on each guide is the final word. Screenshots come from each vendor’s own help pages and videos or, where noted, from third-party tutorials credited under the image; dashed outlines are illustrations, not screenshots. Looking up a size or preparing an export never sends anything to DataFrenzy.
