ADP: see how much data you have, then export it.
Pick a system to see two things: how to check how much data is in it, and how to export a copy. No form, no sign-in.

How to see how much data is in ADP
- Sign in to ADP Workforce Now as a practitioner or admin
- Open Reports and run a standard employee count or employee listing report
- Change the status filter to include terminated employees as well as active ones
- Note the total number of employees and how many years of payroll history exist
Record employee count (active plus terminated) and years of payroll history; ADP shows no storage figure, and report names vary by ADP product.
How to get a copy of your ADP data
- Sign in to RUN Powered by ADP as an admin
- Go to Reports and click Create New Custom Report
- Choose the report type and click Start Report
- Pick fields, then click Run report
- Export as PDF, CSV or Excel
In RUN Powered by ADP, admins can build a report with Create New Custom Report and export it as PDF, CSV or Excel. Saved reports are under Reports → Custom Reports. Workforce Now and other ADP products have their own report menus.
ADP sells several different payroll products with different menus, and payroll files contain Social Security numbers and bank details that need careful handling.
These instructions are written by DataFrenzy from each vendor’s public help pages. Menu names can vary by plan and change over time; the official link on each guide is the final word. Screenshots come from each vendor’s own help pages and videos or, where noted, from third-party tutorials credited under the image; dashed outlines are illustrations, not screenshots. Looking up a size or preparing an export never sends anything to DataFrenzy.
